Not Quite Fall Outfit Ideas
Summer is coming to a close and fall is right around the corner. Not necessarily here in Texas, where we’re still having 100+ degree weather, but in the next few months things will start to cool down a bit. Transitioning between seasons can sometimes be hard, but it allows for layering, which is all but impossible in the sweltering heat of the summer! The key is to stick to lightweight pieces that won’t add too much bulk. Think super lightweight sweaters, button-ups worn as jackets, kimonos, t-shirts with long skirts, or just an easy maxi dress.
I’m also a huge fan of using accessories to elevate a look. I wear 5 pretty bold rings every day, in addition to earrings or a necklace (but rarely both at the same time–taking a cue from French women here), and bracelets too, of course. I don’t usually change my purse too much though, mostly out of laziness, but I’m feeling inspired lately to switch things up in the bag department. Just like shoes, it can change the whole look (my husband has yet to be convinced of this, because his side of the closet just keeps getting smaller and smaller ;).
