Bombshell in Paradise Capsule
I imagine this capsule working well for an excursion to Cuba—lots of mojitos, dancing, exploring in a 1960s era convertible, and general nostalgic fun. I didn’t intend this to be a travel capsule, though. I’m a firm believer in being as fabulous as you want in your everyday life. I have resigned myself to being overdressed for most occasions because that’s just who I am. I don’t want to wait for something special to happen to get dressed up! It all depends on my mood. I was channeling Marilyn Monroe on the beach for this one.
The silhouettes in this capsule would flatter an hourglass figure, hence the bombshell. Those of us with curves have to be a little bit more aware of fit because things can go from charming to pornographic real quick. I’ve always envied the thinner ladies’ ability to wear low cut tops or casually unbuttoned blouses without frightening their coworkers with excessive cleavage. Not that cleavage is a bad thing, just not work appropriate, perhaps.
I intend to use these capsules to explore varying styles (and body types) that aren’t necessarily my own. (Feel free to offer suggestions.) This one is a bit of a cheat because I would totally wear all of this and I do have an hourglass figure. But, alas, we start with what we know. I’ll branch out from here, but of course, there will always be a little bit of me in them. It can’t be helped. I love a wide variety of styles and this capsule is inspiring me to inject a little more tropical flavor into my look. What do you think?
